Emily & Aidan | Toledo Club Wedding | Toledo, Ohio Wedding
My first wedding for 2020!
This Toledo Club Wedding was the PERFECT kick off to my 2020 Weddings!
Emily & Aidan got married at the GORGEOUS Toledo Club in Toledo, Ohio. This Toledo Club Wedding was one for the books! The decor, the ambient lighting, the over all atmosphere set the mood for a beautiful day! The Event Coordinator for the day, Devon Layman, was a gem to work with! Her team did a fantastic job! I would love to work another Toledo Club Wedding!
Ok, on to the STUNNING images from the day! The Toledo Club had a beautiful separated room for the bridal party to get ready in! Emily ordered robes for her bridesmaids & brides-man! They were so fun. Emily's dress was an INCREDIBLE Galina Signature from David's Bridal. The dress has beautiful lace & a button up back that was elegant, classic, and timeless. It completely entangled Emily's personality & vibe in to it. It stole my heart!
The detailing was just STUNNING!
Emily's smile illuminated the whole gloomy winter day. Her beautiful smile & bubbly spirit made the whole day happier!
The Toledo Club also had a beautiful conference room where Aidan & his groomsmen got ready. Aidan's cufflinks had a beautiful tree art to them. It ALMOST matched perfectly to his mother's tree of life jewelry. It was so sweet.
Emily designed & printed her stationary. She also made the bouquets and boutonnieres with the help of the wedding party. They are a mixture of Sola Wood Flowers & greenery from Sam's Club. They were so delicate and beautiful. A treasure!
I am so thankful we were able to do the Wedding Party portraits with the Bride & Groom BEFORE the ceremony! It made the day so much smoother. And it helped keep us out of the cold for long periods of time. They were all so much fun to work with & made the day really enjoyable! So, KUDOS to YOU - WEDDING PARTY!!
If you follow me on social media, specifically Facebook, then you would have seen me already bragging and loving on this STUNNING COAT Emily's mom gifted her. It has sentimental value in their family. Emily's father Paul proposed to her mother with this coat, and had her name embroidered on it. I asked Carol if Emily got to keep the coat, and she smiled so happily and said 'Oh yes, she gets to keep that coat'! & in that moment, I was a bit jealous of Emily! That coat fit her beautifully. It was a warm addition to a cold day!
& THEN they did a FIRST LOOK!
Emily looked STUNNING coming down the stairs. Her nervous smile & deep breaths were so sweet to watch. When Aidan saw her, his eyes lit up. Aidan's sweet smile & welled up eyes got me. He was grinning ear to ear. They both were. They embraced & had their moment, while I just sat back and watched it unfold. These two are a FOREVER pair. I can just feel it with every ounce of me. There is nothing but love!
We also got about 10 minutes of portraits in before the ceremony!
Emily's maid of honor, Madison made the beautiful signs throughout the ceremony & reception. I loved the Welcome sign!
The ceremony was simple & sweet! Emily & her dads walked her down the aisle. Aidan & Emily both had tears in their eyes. They exchanged personal vows that they wrote to each other. Each of them spoke with such high respect and love for one another & the life they have together. They talked of their travels, their political careers, and the future they will have. The moments of laughter and love throughout the ceremony will be remembered. It was truly beautiful.
Aidan's mom is definitely me in the future at my son's wedding. As a boymom myself, it was so sweet to see her watching her son while everyone else was watching Emily!
MAZEL TOV to the new Mr & Mrs Hubbel-Staeble!
Emily's Grandpa was so sweet & indulged my idea for their 3 generation picture!
I have made it a habit the last few weddings to bring a bottle of champagne to pop... Well not Emily & Aidan. This bride wanted to saber slice hers open! It made for a lot of laughs & a lot of nerves on my end lol. But it was beautiful with the back lit sunset!
We did portraits in the Toledo Club and ended in an abundance of sunlight from the sunset that was spilling in the entrance room. I usually don't play with deep shadows, but this vibe was too good to hold back. And it resulted in my favorite bridal portrait. EVER. I mean how stunning is that glow!
& it was quickly RECEPTION time!
Time to celebrate with their closest families & friends. Their table set up was so elegant and classy. Rust and Lace Rentals provided beautiful decor! They also had fun things out for their guests, like I Spy at the dinner table. A check list for guests to take photos of. They had Connect 4, Tic Tac Toe, and other table games out for cocktail hour.
Their simple, sweet delicious cake was made by So Sweet Pastries. The pearl beads were a classic touch. The BEST DAY EVER cake topper was so fun!
They also had a DONUT bar with donuts from a Toledo, Ohio staple Holey Toledough
After the best man & maid of honor gave their speeches, Emily's dad, bonus dad, and Grandfather gave theirs. And I'll be honest and say I'm shocked I was able to capture what I could through all the tears and laughs. Emily's dad Paul gave a funny and sweet speech. He thanked her dad Tim for helping raise her, Aidan's family for accepting her, and ultimately sang Emily's praises.
Emily's bonus dad Tim gave the speech of a lifetime. And that doesn't discredit the other speeches, his just had one line I'll never forget... (no one will) He said "There's a running joke in the family, that when I came over one day, I never left.... Well that's because I found my home, with Carol & Emily." & EVERYONE lost it! What a beautiful tribute to his daughter & wife.
Emily's Grandfather was last but not least to toast the couple. They flew in from Florida! They were thrilled to freeze for this wonderful day.
All the speeches had one thing in common.... They spoke of how Aidan & Emily are a team. The work they do, the love they share, & the passion between them, that is incredible. If you were in that room, you felt the love & joy. These truly are some of my favorite moments captured.
And finally, the dancing begun!
Emily & Aidan decided to dance with their parents first. Emily danced with Tim and smiled & laughed the whole time. Aidan & his mother grooved to "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". & finally, Emily & her father Paul had their moment. It was very sweet to see these parents and their love for their children!
Their first dance was so full of happiness and love! The smiles never left their face.
These two had a cute Polaroid station set up for their guest book! Emily's sweet Grandpa had a point and shoot camera going all day to make sure he didn't miss a moment. So it was only fitting to see him taking photos for the guest book!
& lastly, before I left, I asked if they wanted to do some night time portraits!
& you can see why!
The Toledo Club was the perfect backdrop for these portraits. Emily also used to be a ballerina, so twirling is so in her wheelhouse! She looked STUNNING.
CHEERS! to the NEWLYWEDS!
Emily & Aidan,
Congratulations again on your marriage! It was a beautiful day with amazing people surrounding you. I am so thankful to have been a part of it, and captured it for you!
